When your ‘easy’ child starts pushing back…...

ignoring you
stalling
resisting even simple things

and you feel like you’re repeating yourself all day...

You may even start to wonder...

"Am I losing them?"

You say something once - and your child actually follows through.

Not because you reminded them five times…

but because they took ownership.

They’re thinking. Problem-solving.

Stepping up in ways that almost make you pause and think...

"Wait...is this the same kid?"

Now imagine this...

This FREE Workshop is for you if...

Desk Accessories

Inside, you'll finally understand:

Why you haven’t failed as a parent —
and what’s actually happening underneath their pushback. So you can stop second-guessing yourself…and start responding with clarity.

The 3 shifts that help your child start thinking, following through, and stepping up for themselves. (Without you having to remind, hover, or hold it all together.)

Why you keep getting pulled into the same loop—reminding, overdoing, and feeling guilty…while your child stays stuck whining, ignoring, or pushing back.

The hidden patterns that have you doing more and feeling worse than you need to —
and
how to shift them so your kids start stepping in with you.

By the end of this Workshop, you'll be able to:

Mother and Daughter Hugging

See Them Differently

Their resistance won’t feel like defiance. It will start to make sense. And instead of reacting in the moment, you’ll know what’s actually needed.

Woman Meditating Calmly

Feel More Steady

You’ll catch yourself before the spiral. You’ll have a simple way to reset—so you’re not getting pulled into the same reactions.

Homeschooling

Respond with Intention

You won’t be guessing.
You won’t be overthinking.

You’ll have language and tools that actually help your child

step up—without you pushing or taking over.

No more settling for a draining home life.

Let's shift the tone in your home without the shame, guilt, or power struggles.

If you're on the fence...

Take a second and imagine this.

A month from now…

You could still be replaying the same arguments in your head, wondering if you’re getting this wrong…

Or…

You could feel steadier.
More calm. At ease.

And actually enjoy being with your child again.

The shift doesn’t happen all at once.

But it does start with one step.

Meet your host, Alyssa!

I’m Alyssa Smith—a parent coach, longtime educator, and mom of two girls in the messy middle years (think: elementary + middle school).

With over 17 years in the classroom, multiple degrees in education and psychology, and training in Positive Discipline, I’ve spent my career helping kids, teachers, and parents grow in confidence and connection.

Before coaching, I taught in Montessori and international schools, led workshops for educators, and was recognized globally for championing student agency.

But my most important lessons?

They didn’t happen in a classroom.

They happened on my kitchen floor—

learning to rebuild after loss, burnout, and starting over as a single parent.

Now, I help parents do the same.

To step out of the cycle of overdoing…
and into a way of parenting that actually builds confidence, capability, and connection—

without it all falling on you.

Because connection, not perfection, is what changes everything.

There's a different way—

and I'd love to show you. 💙
